What is Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional Therapy is the use of foods therapeutically to promote optimum health and increase exercise performance. We apply the latest research in nutrition and health sciences to individuals, focusing on improving the functions of body systems including; digestive, immune, hormonal and cardiovascular.
Nutrition is a fundamental requirement for good health, therefore optimising nutrient intake and making positive lifestyle changes is likely to be of benefit in the management of most health issues when followed accurately. Nutritional Therapy is suitable for children, teenagers and adults.

Nutrition for pre & post natal
In the past few decades, people’s lives have become busier and there is an increased reliance on processed foods containing chemicals, additives and sugar. An increase in the use of pesticides and chemicals from intensive farming coupled with a decrease in nutrients in the soil and exceptional levels of pollution place extra burdens on our health. Poor diet and inadequate nutrition, stressful lifestyles and a general lack of exercise are now recognised as some of the primary causes of poor health for many people in our modern society. Nutritional therapy encompasses the use of carefully chosen recommendations for nutrition, supplements and lifestyle to alleviate or prevent ailments and promote optimal health. These recommendations are professionally tailored to each person’s individual circumstances and requirements.
How does a Nutritional Therapist Work?
The initial Nutritional Therapy consultation may take 60-90 minutes, during which time a thorough case history is taken and the client’s requirements discussed. Following this, an individualised protocol of recommendations on diet, specific nutrients and lifestyle is drawn up and this protocol often provides meal ideas, recipes and practical tips for moving towards a healthier lifestyle. Within the consultation laboratory tests or referrals to other healthcare professionals may also be advised. To monitor your progress it may be necessary to return for a follow-up consultation which will usually last between 30-45 minutes.
Initial Consultation €145 - provides: A full nutritional review, dietary analysis and phase 1 protocol
Follow up Appointments €110 - provides: A full review and further phase 2 - 3 protocols
